The "Mo & short film festival" is an event organised by the Youth New Wave to provide new artists with arena to showcase their talents.The event is organised for the second consecutive time this year.

1945 මැයි 14 වන දින උපත ලැබූ ෂෙල්ටන් පයාගල නම් අපූරැ සෞන්දර්යවාදියා විසිරැණු පැතිරැණු කලා හැකියාවන්ගෙන් යුක්ත වූ අදීන චරිතයක් විය. මාක්ස්වාදයෙන් පන්නරය ලබා මුවහත් කරගත් දැනුම ඔහු කවියකු , විචාරකයකු , මූර්ති ශිල්පියෙකු , සිත්තරෙකු මෙන්ම සිනමාකරැවෙකු ලෙස ලොවට බෙදා දුන්නේය. භෞතිකවාදය ඔහු පිළිගත් එකම දහමයි. .

The French New Wave is one of the most significant film movements in the history of the cinema. During the late 1950s and early 1960s, the New Wave rejuvenated France's already prestigious cinema and energized the international art cinema as well as film criticism and theory, reminding many contemporary observers of Italian neorealism's impact right after World War II.
